
On the 4th April 2021, old students of Bilal Islamic Institute, the premier Islamic Institute in Uganda, visited Uganda Islamic Museum and Research Center. The group comprised of old boys and girls who had attended Bilal Islamic Institute between 1985 and 1995. They appreciated the work of museum and promised to be part and parcel of the Islamic Museum and Research Center’s vision of providing leadership in Collecting, Showcasing, and Preserving the Arts, History, Culture and the Rich Heritage that Islam and Muslim societies have brought to the world and especially to Uganda. Sheikh Jawad Mbogo, the director of Islamic Museum and Research Center is also an old student of Bilal Islamic Institute. The old students were on their way to a get together that was held at one of them, Ambassador Dr. Sheikh Rashid Ssemundu, whose home is located at Kitende, Kajjansi, Entebbe road.
